VETRA – Vêtements de Travail – Built for Work. Born for Life.

VETRA was founded in Paris in 1927 by Édouard Beerens. From a small workshop initially producing aprons and overalls, the company developed into a business that focused early on functional workwear. The name derives from "Vêtements de Travail" (Workwear) and precisely captures the clear, practical character of the brand.

From the very beginning, VETRA produced its garments in-house, focusing on robust materials, simple cuts, and a design that remains focused on the essentials. This philosophy continues to shape the collections today: uncomplicated, durable clothing that proves its worth in everyday work life as well as in modern urban living. Despite growing international recognition, VETRA maintains a deliberately classic product range – jackets, trousers, shirts in a workwear style, and overalls that don't deny their origins yet are versatile enough for a variety of uses.

In the 1990s, the brand expanded into countries like Japan and the USA, where its minimalist, functional style was very well received. The product range remained deliberately clear and structured, continuing to rely on dependable materials such as cotton twill, moleskin, and linen. The aesthetic is straightforward, understated, and timeless. Each new collection complements the simple style with a vast color palette.

To this day, VETRA remains family-owned and true to its clear philosophy: to develop high-quality, uncomplicated clothing that makes an impact without gimmicks. It's not the trend that counts, but functionality – and the quiet elegance of simplicity.
