Mexicana

Mexicana.

With almost 40 years of history, Mexicana is now one of the leading names in high-quality Western boots. However, the brand’s roots go back even further: Elysée, a family man, ran a shop called ‘Le King’, which brought American denim culture, Western influences and iconic fashion pieces to France from an early stage. His sons Lionel, Thierry and Hervé grew up surrounded by jeans, leather and boots – and it was there that they developed the eye for quality, authenticity and style that would later form the foundation of Mexicana. What began as a family passion is now being carried on by the third generation.

Mexicana was founded in 1987 following a trip by Lionel and Thierry to Mexico. In León, the heart of Mexican leather and boot culture, the brothers discovered the exceptional craftsmanship and manufacturing expertise of local workshops. To this day, the brand’s signature boots are crafted there – handmade using traditional methods and with a particular focus on material quality, comfort and durability.

Mexicana reinterprets the classic Western boot in a modern way, combining authentic craftsmanship with an unmistakable rock ’n’ roll and fashion attitude. The result is a unique blend of folk spirit, timeless leather aesthetics and rebellious charm, which has long since earned the brand international recognition.

The collection centres on an extensive range for women, complemented by a men’s collection as well as handcrafted clogs, bags, belts and other accessories – all ‘Handmade in Mexico’.

Since 2018, Mexicana has been successfully stocked by selected retailers in Germany and Austria, where it is valued for its exceptional design and high-quality craftsmanship.
