Happy birthday Jack
Jack Nicholson turns 75 today. Great actor, director, personality and overall cool guy. A carreer that spans over more than 50 years. 12 times nominated for an academy award. Won 3 of them (2 as best actor, 1 as best supporting actor). One of the only actors nominated in 4 decades consequently. Charming, funny, convincing, lots of charisma, true to himself and a real ladies man. And that mischievous grin you have to love. Friend of Hunter S. Thompson. Neighbour of Marlon Brando on Mulholland Drive. Thanks so much for endless hours of fun, entertainment and laughter in all those films over the past more than 40 years.

Golden Gate Bridge – Tellason
the famous San Franciso landmark turns 75. The construction was finished April 19th 1937. The official opening by president Franklin D. Roosevelt was held on May, 28th. It links the city of San Francisco on the northern tip of the San Francisco peninsula to the Marin County. You need to cross that bridge when going from the Tellason factory in San Francisco to the head of office in Mill valley – a very unique and pleasant journey.

Remembering Jochen Rindt
Karl Jochen Rindt would have turned 70 today. Often called the first popstar of formula One due to his charismatic persona and his handsome looks. Born In Germany he was raised by his austrian grandparents. Always started for Austria. Won the 24 hours of Le Mans on Ferrari 250 LM together with Masten Gregory in 1965. In those days the drivers were fearless daredevils who risked their life in every race. The cars and the racetracks were far beyond safe. He was noted for being an exceptionally fast driver with superb car control and reflexes but rarely had a car equal to his talents. His career took off when he moved to Lotus in 1969. Died only 28 years old during practise for the 1970 Italian Grand prix in Monza September, 5th caused by an accident initiated by a failure of the car’s right front brakeshaft. Rindt is only driver in the history of formula One racing to posthumously win the Formula One World Drivers’ championship in 1970.
