The company was founded by John Smith and his wife Margaret in the 1970s. The Croots Factory is located in Malton, North Yorkshire. Croots uses only natural, vegetable tanned hides of european origin, heavy duty solid brass buckles and fittings, swiss made quality zippers and natural sewing threads.
